LOADSTAR

Data license

The number is free. The record behind it is licensed.

Anyone can cite the LOADSTAR Number at no cost and without asking. The license is for teams that need to put the files behind it in a filing, a model or an expert report, and need to know exactly what they are relying on.

What you get

Daily series
Requested and signed capacity for PJM, ERCOT, CAISO, MISO, SPP, NYISO and ISO-NE, all queues together and each one alone. Every day carries the method in force and the SHA-256 fingerprint of what we published. The series is consistent from September 29, 2026, when the method last changed; earlier days are kept and marked, never restated. CSV or JSON.
Project file
Every active request of 50 MW and up: the operator’s queue ID, capacity, state, county, fuel where published, date entered, and whether the operator’s own status shows a signed agreement. Each file records when the queue was read.
Source archive
The full queue table we read from each operator every day since September 26, 2026, kept unaltered, with a SHA-256 fingerprint per table. Provided where the operator’s terms permit redistribution; we confirm this operator by operator before a license is signed.
Correction notice
If a correction changes a figure you licensed, you get the before and after by email the same day it goes public. Not before.
Method questions
In writing, answered within two business days.

What it is not

Generation requests only. Not data-center or other large-load requests, and we never add the two together. A floor, not a forecast. Not legal, investment or engineering advice.

Same for everyone

Every licensee gets the same files, the same method, on the same day. No licensee has a say in the counting rules.

Research use

Universities and nonprofit researchers get the files free, in exchange for citing the number.

Terms and pricing
